Every second Friday of this term, the students of 7-1, along with their encouraging teacher Mr Cooley, will be doing voluntary work around Cowra.

Students teamed up with more accomplished shuffleboard players to teach them how it’s done.

Students and residents at Bilyara.

This week, they went to Bilyara to play shuffleboard with the residents. As many Year 7’s had never played shuffleboard, it was a new and exciting experience for them, teaming up with some of the “more accomplished shuffleboard players”.

When not intensely focusing on the game, some of the students took the time to get to know some of the people at Bilyara.

Maddie Cooper and Lauren Thomas amused us with some of their musical pieces on the piano and Cyril Treasure entertained us with a memorable rendition of “The Man From Snowy River”.

We all came back to school, hoping that we will be as amazing as he is at the age of 96. Our first Pay It Forward Friday brought smiles to the faces of all.
